In this land of the lord of the mountains and the blessed Bhagirathi River, the auspicious stream of Sanskrit and its traditions has been flowing for many ages. In fact, India's own culture and traditions are firmly said to be linked to the Himalayas and the Ganges. Fourteen years ago, the Government of the State of Uttarakhand established Uttarakhand Sanskrit University to safeguard the timeless heritage of Sanskrit and to present to the World the immense glory of Sanskrit in its entirety. This journal is a step in that very direction. The major focus of the journal is to establish inherent link between the ancient Indian intellectual tradition and its modern counterparts. We look forward to research papers which bring forth the relevance of traditional subjects for modern sciences for example: Ayurveda and medicine, astrology and psychology, Vyakaran and linguistics, Veda and modern sciences etc.
